Last week Morey took us to City Bistro right here in Union City, and after that meal at that spot, we all swore by it. For Union City heads that don’t know and other locals as well, City Bistro is on Industrial and Whipple in the same plaza as Target. I tell you this because I think everyone should contribute to keeping this place open by having their next meal out right here. Lots of good food at crackhead prices, what more could you ask for?

We did our job yesterday and brought some more people with us. First thing you’ll notice when you walk in is the assortment of canvas paintings and New York-themed photographs all over the walls.

Can you find Bill Clinton and a mafia hit going down:

Warmer.

Got em.

Git em.

Missy got the secret-ingredient soup.

Everyone else went to work on that heart attack.

Hollywood Diggz back from Magic in Las Vegas

Showing off his Crooks & Castles stogie:

That’s all for now. Be sure to pay a visit and tell them BMB sent you. When they say, “Who?” tell them those nosy kids taking pictures of everything.  Hit me.

Union City Summers

30 08 2008

It’s been a real hectic past few weeks trying to get everything in order and in place. Today, I did little to none of that and just eased back while enjoying summer in my city.

I ended up driving by the empty lot behind the old International Market. I remember kids from around the neighborhood would flock over every day in the summer and play baseball here. Real Sandlot shit if you ask me, long before the movie came out. It doesn’t look like that happens much anymore since there’s not even a trace of a chalk-drawn infield.

Welcome to Ponderosa Park, or Mariner Landing as I guess they call it now

Back in the day we spent a good portion of our 2 AM’s at this park, sitting right on this bench, sipping on the cheapest alcohol which we got through a well-timed shouldertap. From freestyle sessions over Rae’s beatbox, to talks about the music we needed to make, to plans of world domination, it all went down here. Looking back on it now as loud as we got, I was surprised that we never once were bothered by residents or the boys in blue at any time. It must’ve been a sign.

And of course any day just wouldn’t be complete unless we got something to eat. 5…

Yes, 5 pounds of crawfish.

Wiping out a species of garlic-butter shrimp one plastic bag at a time.

Cast-away techniques for cleaning out crab-shells. Use your surroundings, take notes.

I think we took care of an entire Puget with this one. But anyways, summer has been good thus far. I hope fall will be just as kind. 9/7, to good music and good karma.

Be easy.

Swagmatic Weekend (Club, Art Show, BBQ)

30 08 2008

It’s going to be a busy weekend coming up. As you probably know, on Friday, September 5th we’re going to be at our Album Release Party in Avalon (Sunnyvale, CA). And two days after that on Sunday, September 7th, we’re going to be chillin’ right here:

Be sure to slide out, this will be something for everyone around to relax at and enjoy.  Good food and good karma, for sure as we celebrate 9/7 and a CD that’s been 2 years in the making.  And also in the middle of those things, we’re also going to be rockin’ at a local art show for ATC. For those that remember, we had Etomer and Animal’s artwork up a few weeks back.  Well the aformentioned art show is set for this next weekend, Saturday, September 6th at Paddy’s Coffee Shop in Union City, CA.

Make the short drive, get your latte, your mocha, whatever your vice and ease back for the evening. Another thing, we were asked not to blast this show/exhibit on myspace in order to keep it as close-knit and intimate as possible so friends and fam, be sure to come out and chill with us on this one.

“Goodie Good”

26 08 2008

Drug-rap, my favorite kind of rap. This time it’s a handful of bars from Knocka Knock, 1/2 of The Skywalkers, aka Buddy Love… He got a lot of bud to spread, so hurry up. I was there at the studio the day he recorded this and if I remember right he did the whole thing in 1 take. Produced by FreshChuck, enjoy:
